Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC have mobilized the Gdh. Faresmathoda Airport project site on 01st January 2021.
MTCC said that the project is valued at MVR 144. 88 million.
It also said that under the project MTCC would build a 1200 meter runway, a taxi-way, an apron, and a service road.
Yesterday, MTCC CEO Adam Azim announced that in 2020 the company had completed 34 projects across the country.
He added that during the 40 years of history of MTCC, this is the first time to complete this number of projects in one year. He thanked the staff of MTCC for the tireless effort and support to achieve this success.
The newly developed airport in Haa Alifu Hoarafushi stands as the marquee project for the company last year while it completed projects in more than 25 islands across the country.
This includes building a COVID-19 facility in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, Haa Alifu Kulhudhufushi harbor expansion project as well as other harbor expansion projects in several islands.
