The Maldives today has received the keys to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building following the completion of the renovation project under the assistance of China.
The Foreign Ministry said that the MFA Building will always remain a testimony of the long-standing ties between China and the Maldives.
In a tweet, Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid expressed appreciation to the Chinese government and Shanghai Construction Group for the timely completion of the China-Aid Renovation Project of Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office Building.
He added that the ties and friendship between the two countries remain vibrant and strong.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Zhang Lizhong said in a tweet that he was glad to see the completion of the renovation work on the MFA building despite the challenges this year.
