A victim who sustained serious injuries in a recent road accident has succumbed to her injuries today.
Police said that the accident had occurred last Friday when a motorcycle traveling at a high speed crashed onto the running track near Dharumavantha Hospital after the rider lost control of the vehicle.
Police said a 24-year-old woman riding at the back of the motorcycle sustained major injuries and had died because of these injuries today.
It said that the rider of the motorcycle is also 24-years of age and did not have a valid driver’s license.
Police said that it was further investigating the accident.
Traffic accidents have become common in the congested Male’ with 304 road accidents reported in Male’ between August to September of this year. Police had said that 68 people had sustained injuries in these accidents.
