Police have arrested two from Hulhumale’ in possession of drugs and alcohol.
Police said that it had carried out an operation in Hulhumale’ after receiving a tip that the arrested suspects were concealing drugs and alcohol in Hulhumale’.
It confirmed that the operation was carried by the Police Intelligence Unit along with the Hulhamale' Police Station and its Specialist Operations Unit.
Police said it had arrested two local men of the age of 30 in the operation.
It said that in the operation police had raided two residential flats in Hulhumale’ and had found packets that had contained Heroin from one of the flats.
Police said in addition to the flats, it had search five cars in Hulhumale’ and had found bountiful amounts of alcohol and drugs in one of the vehicles.
The drugs and alcohol confiscated from the car include 34 beer cans, 33 bottles of moonshine, 58 bottles of liquor, and 51 pieces of cellophane with cannabis.
The Police Station in Hulhumale’ is further investigating the case.
