Authorities confirm that the woman who sustained serious injuries in last night's dangerous road accident in Male' has taken a turn for the worse as she has now been moved to the ICU of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
Police had said that the woman had been injured in an accident that occurred on Boduthakurufaanu Magu last night when a van had hit the cycle she had been on.
Police had also said that the accident was reported around 6 pm in the evening and both of the individuals riding on the cycle had sustained injuries and had been rushed to the hospital. Police added that the woman riding on the backseat of the cycle had sustained serious injuries.
Speaking more on her condition, an official from IGMH hospital said that the accident victim had now been shifted to the ICU after her condition worsened. The official also said that the woman was currently on accident support.
Police had said before that both the drivers involved in the accident had valid licenses to operate the vehicles and that they are further investigating the accident.
