Police have urged the public to strictly obey the guidelines set by Health Protection Agency HPA as the country fights the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, Police said that as the country is currently under a State of Public Health Emergency, all must act in adherence to the guidelines set by the HPA to ensure the safety of the whole country.
Police called on the public not to gather in crowds and to always prioritize the safety of the whole population by obeying the rules set by the HPA.
Police warned that it would take the necessary action against those who are found disobeying HPA rules amid the COVID-19 pandemic that has claimed 31 lives in the country.
The statement by the police coincides with a vehicle ride organized by the opposition coalition today.
Authorities had fined the opposition for holding such a vehicle ride before and the opposition in turn had opened a fund box to make-up for the hefty fine it had to pay.
