The Parliament has given its approval to appoint Ahmed Imad as the Deputy Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority MMA.
His name was approved after the parliamentary committee on public accounts forwarded his name to the floor of the parliament today.
Imad’s name was approved with votes from 69 MPs who joined today’s sitting.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent the name of Ahmed Imad as his nomination for the post of MMA Deputy Governor for parliamentary approval on the 24th of August.
Imad is currently Executive Director of the MMA’s Policy Research and Statistics Division.
He completed his Masters of Science, Economics, and Finance from the United Kingdom while he completed his Bachelor of Business (Economics and Science) from Malaysia.
The post of MMA Deputy governor was vacant after the previous deputy governor Aishath Zahira retired from her post.
