Maldives Meteorological Service, MET Office says Haa Dhaalu Atoll Kulhudhufushi experience most rainfall in the last 24 hours across the country.

It said that between 8 am yesterday to 8 am today, 87.8 mm of rain had fallen on the island.

The MET Office said Funadhoo in Shaviyani atoll also experience heavy rain in that period with 55.4 mm of rain fallen in the island.

Haa Alifu Kelaa completed the top three islands with the most rainfall in the last 24 hours with 50.4 mm of rain recorded in the island.

The MET Office had said that heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected across the country in the next 24 hours.

It said that seas are expected to be rough in central atolls as well as northern atolls. It also said swell surges are expected in islands in the central atolls of the country during heavy tide.

The MET Office has called on sea travelers to be wary of the bad weather and to take all necessary precautionary measures.
