The parliamentary committee on national security and foreign relations is set to convene after the fire incident reported in Male’ last night.
This was confirmed by the chairperson of the committee and MP for Maradhoo constituency Ibrahim Shareef.
In a tweet, he said the committee would meet after the fire that broke out in Henveiru Ward of Male’ on Friday.
But he did not share why and when the committee was meeting regarding the incident.
Maldives National Defense Force MNDF had said that there were no reports of any injuries in the fire which originated in the restaurant named Cafe' Tiolo in Boduthakurufaanu Magu and spread to the adjoining building of the State Bank of India (SBI) which also has offices of Ooredoo Maldives.
