Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) holds dicussion with Maldives Vice President to re-strategize and strengthen efforts against Covid-19.
In a tweet, Ministry of Health confirmed on Saturday that the prime front in Covid-19 related efforts, HEOC held discussion with the country's VP to discuss in further approaches to solidify its efforts to combat the viral contagion. Furthermore, the authority confirms Saturday's discussion was chaired by VP Faisal Naseem.
According to HEOC, the new efforts will be managed with the direct insight and Maldives VP, who will also chair all of the health authority's future meetings.
Saturday's discussion was attended by the acting-Minister of Health Mohamed Aslam, who is filling the designation in the absence of Minister Abdulla Ameen.
Earlier, Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen stepped down from his held responsibilities after the Auditor General's compliance report showed several irregularities in the ministry's procurement of medical equipment.
