Health Emergency Operation Center HEOC has confirmed that a total of 35 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 from Maldives National Defense Force MNDF Training Center in Kaafu Girifushi.
HECO said out of the 35, 26 tested positive for the pandemic yesterday. It also said that 9 others had tested positive for COVID-19 previously from the training center.
HEOC added that this leaves a total of 35 positive cases from the center.
MNDF has now suspended its trainings in the center due to the current situation.
MNDF soldiers are working tirelessly at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic here in the Maldives.
Many MNDF personal are believed to have been infected with the illness but the authorities have stopped releasing the number of positive cases reported from frontline workers for security reasons.
