Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Sunday, 9 August 2020, confirmed progress of the road construction project at Raa atoll Ungoofaaru.
The project's contractor confirms progress in the installation of the stormwater pipes in the island that form part of the road development project.
Moreover MTCC notes that under the project a total of the island's 13 major roads will be developed and involves the installation of a carriageway of 16,488 square meters.
Furthermore the project entails development of a stormwater management system, installation of side-walks along with a road drainage system.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company will further install road lighting and road markings under the project.
According to the project's contractor, the site mobilization took place in 12 June 2019, adding that the entire project is worth MVR28.66 million.
Earlier, MTCC in their quarterly report confirms completion of 14 developmental projects across Maldives by the second quarter along with commencement of 8 new projects in the same quarter.
