Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Thursday, 6 August, confirm closing down a total of 15 establishments found in violation of their health and safety standards.

According to the health authority, it had inspected a total of 260 establishments on Thursday of which 15 were found below necessary standards.

HPA shut down 6 salons or barber shops, 7 shop outlets as well as 2 establishments falling under cafe and restaurant category.

Following the resurgence of Covid-19 positive cases, health authorities have been rigorously inspecting establishments with high-contact possibility to ensure safety and assess their adherence to health standards.

The authority continues to regularly update their inspection details everyday while, HPA further confirms such establishments receiving the temporary shutdown notice will be able to reopen after resolving issues and requesting for permission with them.
