Statistics of Maldives Immigration reveal holidaymakers from United Kingdom remain the highest in tourist arrivals to the country in July 2020.
In a tweet made public by the Immigration department on their official Twitter handle, the authority on Monday reveals a total of 1,769 tourist arrivals to Maldives in the preceding month post border reopening.
According to Maldives immigration a total of 258 holidaymakers flew into the island nation from UK, ranking the country at top spot in terms of tourist count. Arrivals from United States were observed at 189, placing the country at a close second while 143 tourists arrived from United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile a total of 135 arrivals were registered from Germany while 79 tourists flew in from Switzerland. The bottom five of the top arrivals show Spain with 62 arrivals, France with 58 while Russia shared same arrival count with France.
On the other hand, Italy, that had remained as the oldest tourist market to the island nation observed 44 arrivals while Philippines was one short from Italy's count.
Apart from the top ten tourist markets as per Immigration statistics, the authority confirms arrival of 700 additional tourists from various other countries.
