Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Maldives on Monday confirms a new batch of positive cases of Covid-19.
According to the health authority, total cases reported on Monday reached 33 with 23 of the batch being locals.
The remaining includes 6 from Bangladesh and 4 from India, the countries with the most number of cases apart from Maldives; reported in the island nation.
Meanwhile total number of positive cases reported from Maldives have reached 2,999 while only 7 new recoveries have been confirmed within the last 24 hour window.
So far the total number of recoveries from the island nation have reached 2,369.
Maldives reports a total of 15 fatalities related to Covid-19 which includes 10 locals and 5 expatriates; while most of these cases included elderly citizens.
