A total of 04 staff employed at Male' City Council test positive for Covid-19 as per health authorities.
Health authorities on Wednesday notes discovery of the viral contagion from 04 employees, all employed at the council's budget section.
Earlier, it was reported one of the staff employed at the council's budget section tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. Following the discovery, the section was completely shut and its employees urged to shift to isolation.
The following 03 positive cases are from individuals of the said department at the isolation facilities.
Meanwhile a staff employed at Soneva Fushi Resort has been confirmed of contracting Covid-19 as well. The employee has been identified as a local individual.
Maldives reports a total of 2,731 positive cases so far; inclusive of both recoveries and active cases. So far the total recoveries have reached 2,284.
