Health Protection Agency HPA confirms that the number of active cases of Covid-19 in the Maldives has now fallen to 397.
In its latest tweet, HPA revealed that an additional 16 people have recovered from the global pandemic in the country. With this, the total number of individuals declared free of the Covid-19 virus has now reached 1927.
HPA also said that 13 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives yesterday.
In a tweet, HPA said that 13 include 5 locals, 7 Bangladeshis, and an Indian national living in the country. The new cases take the total number of positive cases in the country to 2237.
HPA confirmed that 303 people remained under isolation while 132 were quarantined at various facilities and locations.
Earlier, HPA had said that authorities had moved three critical Covid-19 patients, from Tree Top hospital to DH11 after their condition worsened. HPA also confirmed that two of the patients were on the ventilator and that it would be monitoring their situation closely.
The Maldives has recorded 8 Covid-19 deaths including 4 locals and 4 Bangladeshi nationals.
