Maldives National Defense Force MNDF appoints Colonel Ibrahim Hilmy as the Commander of the MNDF Central Area.
At a ceremony held at MNDF Headquarters Bandaara Koshi, Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdullah Shamaal presented the letter of appointment to the colonel.
Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier Abduraheem Abdul Latheef also participated in the ceremony.
The new appointment comes after the current Commander of MNDF Central Area Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim completed his posting duty term.
He has been commander of the central Area since his appointment on the 1st of February 2018.
