President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is to meet the media at 16:30 pm today as the country awaits important decisions regarding the new normal way of life in the Maldives amid the Covid-19 crisis.
Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Hood said that the President would be the press today at the president’s office.
Reports have said that the president would share vital information with the nation in today’s press conference including when the country’s border would re-open for tourist arrivals.
President Solih last addressed the media on the 25th March way before a case of Covid-19 was discovered in the Male’ Area.
The Male’ Area has been under lockdown since the 15th of April with the National Emergency Operations Center holding its news briefing online.
