Authorities have arrested two individuals from Fuvahmulah City for violating the home-quarantine regulations.

According to the city's Council one of the offenders have been remanded for a 14-day period for breaching state mandated regulations of home-quarantine. The individual had stepped outside of their quarantine premises.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) mandated home-quarantine policy states the period for home-quarantine is a duration of 14 days. All individuals flying in from abroad or traveling through permits to home islands or island of residence have been urged to adhere to the protocol.

Meanwhile the city's Council thanked its locals for their continued support and cooperation with the authorities in upholding regulations set by health and safety authorities.

So far Fuvahmulah City have not reported in any positive cases of Covid-19.
