Health Protection Agency (HPA) attests that a total of 112 children have recovered from the Covid-19 disease so far in Maldives.

According to statistics at the health authority the total number of children with the virus was at 133, out of which 112 have mad recoveries and only 21 remain under treatment.

Moreover, the agency confirms 84 percent of children who tested positive for the viral contagion have recovered from the disease already.

The demographics of the children testing positive for the virus included 19 kids between the ages 1 to 5, 50 kids between the ages 6 to 12 and 43 kids between the ages 12 to 18.

Meanwhile HPA report the youngest case reported with Covid-19, a patient of just 11 days old, has not recovered from the disease yet.

Statistics indicate the total recoveries in June were at 86 with most recovery cases reported on 7, 8 and 9 June.
