National Emergency Operations Center Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez says there are 13 patients with Covid-19 that require special medical attention.
Updating local media on the latest developments of the Covid-19 crisis, Mabrook said that 13 Covid-19 patients have been identified as patients that require special care or treatment.
Mabrook further clarified that one of these individuals has been admitted in the ICU of Treetop hospital while 4 people are being treated in the hospital’s ward. He also said that 8 individuals are being treated at the hulhumale medical facility.
The Maldives has recorded 2120 cases of Covid-19 since March of this year. This includes 730 locals, 1118 Bangladeshis, 197 Indians, and 75 other individuals from different countries.
Health Protection Agency has confirmed that 1677 people have recovered from the virus and that only 433 cases were active now.
Eight people have died of Covid-19 in the Maldives including four locals and four Bangladeshis. The four locals include an 83-year-old woman, an 80-year-old man, an 88-year-old man and an 89-year old woman.
