Bank of Maldives BML says it will open its branches and service center four days a week starting from Monday till the end of the month to provide services that are not available online or via ATMs through pre-booked appointments.

In a statement, BML said from 15th to 30th June 2020, its branches and service centers would be open from 9.30 am to 2 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

It said that appointments can be made the day before each working day, eg for Monday, appointments will be available for booking from 12am on Sunday via its appointment portal or by SMS.

BML said that the following services will only be provided online and cut off-times are available on

  • International Transfers (TT)
  • Payroll
  • Local Bank Transfers
  • MIRA Payments
  • mPOS Applications

BML also said that the Following services would be available via ATMs only

  • Cash Deposit
  • Daily limit for businesses MVR 500,000
  • Daily limit for personal customers MVR 100,000
  • Cheque Deposit

BML added that while the lockdown measures have been eased, the Bank encourages its customers to continue to bank from home for everyday banking, and use services available online.
