Health authorities on Saturday have reported a total of 24 new recoveries from the viral Covid-19 disease.
According to authorities, the newest batch of recoveries have surged the total number of recoveries in the country to 1,217.
With this latest development the recovery rate from the disease in Maldives is recorded at 60.46 percent as per Ministry of Health.
The island nation have been reporting stronger recoveries figures over the number of newly infected cases.
Meanwhile, according to the latest update from the ministry the total recoveries have surpassed significantly from that of active cases.
As per the dashboard statistics from the ministry, the total number of active cases have receded to 786.
However, the total number of positive cases reported in the country have surpassed 2,000 already and as of Saturday 21:30hrs it was recorded at 2,013.
Maldives government announced it will be lifting lockdown restrictions completely on coming Monday, but under a 'New Normal' procedure. Authorities advise the public to practice social distancing and safety measures while going out.
