Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Wednesday confirmed discovery of 20 additional cases of Covid-19 patients.
According to the agency, the latest batch includes 19 Maldivians and 4 Bangladeshis.
With the total number of confirmed positive cases reported in Maldives hiked to 1962, but the authority had announced of 111 recoveries on Wednesday alone surging the total recoveries to 1121.
Due to the spike in recoveries, the number of active cases has significantly dropped.
As per HPA, a total of 681 Maldivians contracted the disease so far and 1038 Bangladeshis tested positive for Covid-19.
