National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) on Tuesday, 02 June, confirms discovery of 12 additional cases of Covid-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) attests the additional 12 cases of the virus found in Maldives as of 18:00hrs of Tuesday evening.

With this discovery the total positive cases reported in Maldives have spiked to 1841, however due to 608 total recoveries the active cases have dropped to 1224.

The latest batch of patients reported on Tuesday include 11 locals and 1 Indian national.

Meanwhile, Maldives reports a total of 7 deaths related to the virus which had included 4 locals and 3 Bangladesh expatriates.

Greater Male' Region continues to remain under lockdown, although state had earlier announced and granted moderate eases for the public to go outside for necessities.
