National Emergency Operations Center NEOC spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez says nine more patients have recovered from Covid-19 in the Maldives.
Briefing the local media on the latest developments of the Covid-19 crisis, Mabrook said a total of 29 people have now recovered from the highly contagious virus in the Maldives.
He said this includes 16 locals and 13 foreigners. Mabrook added that 751 were still under treatment for the virus.
Meanwhile, the last two days have shown a surge in cases of Covid-19 in the country. This comes after the authorities warned that the number of cases could spike in the next two weeks.
Maldives has so far reported 3 Covid-19 related deaths in the country. This includes an-83-year-old local woman, an 80-year-old local man, and a 33-year-old Bangladeshi national.
