Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) disinfected the Vilimale' ferry terminal premises on Wednesday, 06 May.

The transport and contracting authority have confirmed this on their official Twitter handle after it was reported a staff of MTCC working at the venue tested positive for Covid-19.

The Vilimale' ferry terminal stations situated at both Male' City and the village island of Vilimale' were disinfected along with all the ferries.

Meanwhile MTCC confirms all staffs on duty at the ferry terminal stations since last week have been transferred to quarantine facilities for screening.

MTCC further commented they were working to swap all frontline staff and resume terminal operations with Health Protection Agency's (HPA) permission.
