Health Protection Agency HPA says one more patient has recovered from Covid-19 in the Maldives.

HPA confirmed that case 80, a 35-year-old female has recovered from the illness and that she was tested positive for Covid-19 on 20th April.

It said even though the individual is free from the virus, she will remain in isolation.

This is the first community case of Covid-19 to recover in the Maldives after the community spread of Covid-19 was confirmed on the 15th of April.

Health Ministry’s Covid-19 dashboard showed that this individual belonged to the BNC cluster of the community spread.

Three others from the same cluster remain positive for the virus including a 2 year-old-boy, a 29-year-old woman, and a 28-year-old man.

Eighteen people have now recovered from the virus in the Maldives while the country recorded its first Covid-19 related death last week.

A total of 519 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Maldives including 176 locals and 343 foreigners.
