Health Protection Agency HPA reports 5 more positive cases of Covid-19 in Maldives.
In a tweet, HPA said 4 Maldivians and 1 Sri Lankan had tested positive for Covid-19.
It also said 28 news cases of Covid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours.
With these new cases, the total number of positive cases in the Maldives now stands at 519.
This includes 176 locals and 343 Foreigners.
Eighteen people have recovered from Covid-19 in Maldives while one person has succumbed to the illness.
The latest update from HPA said 1311 were currently under quarantine and 447 individuals were placed under isolation.
HPA also said that a total of 8429 test samples have been taken and that 7700 of these tested negative.
The Agency said 210 samples were pending.
