Health Protection Agency HPA confirms 23 more cases of Covid-19 in Maldives taking the total cases beyond 500.
In a tweet, HPA said the 23 individuals include 17 Maldivians and 6 foreigners.
HPA said that the foreigners include 4 Bangladeshis, a Nepalese, and an Indian national.
Health Ministry Dashboard on Covid-19 revealed that two children below the age of 15 years were among the Maldivians tested positive today.
Today’s positive cases take the total Covid-19 cases to 514.
Seventeen people have recovered from the illness in the Maldives with one death recorded in the country since the outbreak.
An 83-year-old woman passed away last week after contracting the virus while residing in a residential house under HPA monitoring. While her sample was taken for Covid-19, her test result came back after her death.
