Seven more individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country taking the total number of cases to 475.
According to the Health Ministry dashboard five Maldivians and 2 Bangladeshi national tested positive for Covid-19 today.
The dashboard also revealed that a 5-year-old girl had also tested positive for Covid-19 today.
This takes the total number of positive cases in the country to 475 including 150 locals and 325 foreigners. Most of the foreigners tested positive for Covid-19 are Bangladeshi nationals with 254 Bangladeshis tested positive for the virus in Maldives.
The government had taken several measures against the rapidly spreading Covid-19 outbreak, including extending the lockdown of Male’ Area for further two weeks.
