Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has send his condolences to the family of the first COVID-19 victim in the country.
The Maldivian local, Aminath Adam was aged 83 at the time of her demise reported on 29 April, Wednesday.
President Solih extended his heartfelt condolences to the family and relatives of the late Aminath Adam, adding his prayers were with the dearly departed.
The first COVID-19 victim is linked to MAV0126 - both in the same cluster, according to health officials.
Meanwhile, members of the victim's family have already mounted complaints of willful ignorance and gross negligence from health officials and authorities. The family allege state authorities with recklessness despite regular updates of the patient's condition before her demise.
Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen during the emergency press conference held on early morning hours of Thusday, confirmed investigation to identify negligent parties will be carried accordingly.
