The number of Covid-19 cases in Maldives has reached 278 with 27 new cases in the last 24hrs.
Latest update on the Ministry’s Covid-19 dashboard read that 26 Maldivians and 1 Pakistani national had tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
The dashboard also read that 18 of the positive cases belonged to the Cluster identified as RSC by Health Protection Agency.
The Pakistani national who tested positive yesterday belonged to BZM cluster. HPA officials are still working to identify whether or not the other cases belonged to any clusters.
Seventeen people have recovered from the virus in Maldives with 261 still under treatment for the illness.
Government has been taking several measures to deter the rapidly spreading Covid-19 virus in the country.
Yesterday, HPA announced that it would extend the lockdown of Male’ Area for an additional 14 days
