Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Ltd MIFCO suspends home deliveries of its product amid the rapid spread of Covid-19 global pandemic in the Capital Male’.
MIFCO said it took the decision to suspend home deliveries in light of the escalation of Covid-19 crisis in Maldives and keeping in mind the safety of its employees and customers.
MIFCO said it would continue to sell its products to permit holders and vessels from the Atolls.
MIFCO said businesses registered as delivery service during the lockdown of Male’ Area can visit Mifco Maafannu outlet and Mifco Hulhumale outlet to buy the company’s products.
MIFCO said its store would be open from 09:30hrs to 18:00hrs and urged customers to wear protective facemasks and gloves before coming into the stores.
MIFCO also advised its customers to practice social distancing as recommended by health experts in the country.
MIFCO made home deliveries of its products to households in Male’ City when HPA first placed Male’ Area under lockdown following its first positive case of Covid-19 last Wednesday,.
But with the recent spike in positive cases in Male’, several big businesses are shutting down their delivery services in the capital. A total of 62 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in Male’ since the 15th of this month, including delivery staff operating in Male’.
