The official spokesperson on COVID-19 developments in Maldives, Mohamed Mabrouk Azeez confirmed discharging 69 individuals from quarantine facilities.
Azeez made the confirmation on during the press conference held on Thursday, stating the individuals will be discharged sometime in the same day.
Individuals at Eriadhoo Island Resort's facility, Royal Island Resort and Fun Island Resort facilities will be discharged according to Azeez.
At the time of reporting, a total of 985 individuals were under screening at various quarantine facilities across Maldives while 31 remain in isolation facilities.
Maldives have reported a total of 23 positive cases and 16 recoveries, while the latest 3 cases were confirmed on Wednesday, 15 April 2020.
Following the discovery of positive cases from Male' City, the health situation status in Greater Male' Region was bumped to a 'Red Level 4'.
Meanwhile, Maldives government announced a total lockdown on the region for a 24-hour duration, which has since been extended by another 24-hour duration.
