Health Protection Agency HPA says the second positive case for Covid-19 from Male’ is a toddler.
In a tweet, HPA said the toddler is the child of the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in Male’.
That individual tested positive for Covid-19 after seeking treatment from Male’ Flu Clinic on Tuesday for Covid-19 like symptoms. Both of these individuals have been moved to an isolation facility.
HPA also said that 10 out of the 11 samples taken from direct contacts of first positive case in Male’ have tested negative for Covid-19.
Authorities are in the process of identifying the direct contacts of the individual and are testing them for Covid-19.
Two residences in Male’ are currently under monitoring in relation to this case.
