National airline Maldivian suspends all domestic flights amid 24 lockdown of Male’ City as the fight against Covid-19 intensify.
In a tweet, Maldivian said in light of the current situation of Covid-19 in Maldives, the airline has suspended all domestic flights with immediate effect until advised further.
Health Protection Agency HPA had announced earlier that effective from 15:30hrs today, a complete restriction of movement and stopping of Public transport services in Greater Male’ region for 24 hours.
HPA made the announcement after a Maldivian living in Male’ tested positive for Covid-19 after seeking treatment from Male’ Flu Clinic.
Authorities said the individual had no recent travel history and had no direct contact with a positive case in the country.
