Indian High Commission in Maldives says India has shipped essential medicines to Maldives within 14hrs after the order was placed.
In a tweet, Indian High Commission said the essential medicines were shipped from the port of Tuticorin to Maldives within 14 hours after STO placed the order for the medicine.
The High Commission said that the shipment includes hyrdrocortisone doses that are used to treat disorders of the skin, Stomach and kidneys as well as certain cancers, allergies and colitis.
It commended the swift response of Indian companies that continue to deliver even during tough lockdown conditions.
India has been under a 21-day lockdown to combat against global pandemic Covid-19.
