A local was injured from a stabbing at Addu City Maradhoo on Thursday evening.
Maldives Police Service confirm a local male was injured by four assailants. The assailants reportedly were on two bikes at the time of the incident.
The incident was reported to Addu City police department around 20:16hrs. Meanwhile, the victim has been identified as a 36 year old local male from the City.
The victim received a cut on his back, not 5 inches deep, according authorities. He received medical treatment from Maradhoo Health Center following the incident and was later discharged.
Police has commenced investigation on the incident, while the authority had noted on the increased number of reported cases involving assaults and stabbings.
