The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) has advised the Maldives public; especially in Greater Male' Region, from going outdoors on frequent patterns despite curfew lift.
The TAG team's Dr Ali Latheef made recommend to choose staying indoors while avoiding to go outdoors except for bare necessities.
Dr Latheef gave the advisory on Thursday's press briefing regarding updates on the COVID-19 viral pandemic.
According to Dr Latheef, the curfew was lifted after confirming Maldives currently does not face dangers of a community spread of the disease.
However, he warned the situation may get intense depending on circumstances and the possibility of a 24-hour curfew scenario was also a likely scenario.
Maldives government earlier announced a 3-hour curfew designated on Greater Male' Region - Male' City, Hulhumale' and Vilimale - on a daily basis to ensure public safety and to avoid possible contraction of the disease.
However, it has not been confirmed the disease have reached mainland areas.
