Minister of Education Aishath Ali confirms changes will be brought to the schedule of the SSC Examinations.
Minister Aishath Ali confirmed the authority was currently holding discussions with Cambridge to seek possible changes in schedule for the O'Level Examinations slated for October-November in 2020.
She confirmed the SSC Examinations will have a revised schedule as educational institutions have been closed temporarily due to the viral pandemic.
Meanwhile the ministry have facilitated alternative study options for students currently preparing for the Cambridge O'Level Examinations in 2020. Students are able to attend their classes through online mediums and tele-class programs.
Initially schools were scheduled to open on 15 March post the mid-term break, which has since been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ministry have launched the tele-class program, televised and broadcast at fixed hours on weekdays for Grades 7 and above.
Minister further announced tele-classes will commence for students studying at Keystage 1 and 2 from next week onward.
Earlier the May-June Cambridge examinations were announced with postponement.
