Maldives state will be providing allowances for individuals losing their employment over corporate redundancies amid viral outbreak's adverse effects.
Government of Maldives announced it will provide monetary allowance for local workers who have faced employment termination or lay-offs, for a duration of 3 months commencing from April 2020.
The decision was announced during the disclosing of the Economic Recovery Plan details by Minister of Finance on Tuesday, 07 April 2020.
Individuals facing job termination will receive their allowances at the end of each month for the set duration, applicable for individuals registering on the job portal setup by Ministry of Economic Development.
