Health Protection Agency HPA says 40 individuals quarantined in Fun Island quarantined facility have been released home today.

In a tweet, HPA said these 49 individuals were tested for Covid-19 before their release and all 49 tested negative. HPA added that these 49 individual had completed their 14-day mandatory quarantine period.

These individuals were quarantined after returning back from abroad.

Maldivian authorities are quarantining those coming from abroad for a period of 14-days and are testing all these individuals for covid-19.

Nineteen people have tested positive for Covid-19 here in the Maldives including four Maldivians. These four Maldivians came back from the UK and are currently the only covid-19 patients under treatment.
