Health Protection Agency HPA says samples have been taken from a Maldivian and a foreign national from Resort Constance Moofushi.
Addressing the media, official spokesperson Mr. Mabrouk Azeez said the two samples were taken from the individuals after they showed symptoms of Covid-19. He added that the resort was currently under monitoring.
Mr. Mabrouk also confirmed that samples have been taken from a Maldivian in V.Keyodhoo after the individual showed symptoms of the deadly virus. The island is also being monitored.
HPA said a total of 1288 samples have taken with 1261 negative results. HPA said that there was only one pending sample.
Isolation facilities across the nation are hosting 18 individuals while 880 people are being quarantined at government sanctioned facilities.
