Health Protection Agency HPA says a sample will be taken from a foreign national aboard the safari vessel Maldiviana.
Speaking the media, official spokesperson Mr. Mabrouk Azeez said a sample would be taken from the foreign national after the individual showed covid-19 like symptoms.
Earlier today Mr. Mabrouk highlighted that four sea vessels are currently under monitoring as individuals suspected of Covid-19 have been found aboard these vessels. He said these include cargo ship VSG Glory, Ark Noble Safari, SY Stars and Island Safari.
During tonight’s news briefing, Mr. Mabrouk said a total of 1093 samples have been taken to test for Covid-19 with only 17 coming back positive. He said while 1065 samples have tested negative for Covid-19, 11 samples were still pending.
