Health Protection Agency HPA says samples taken from 3 resorts and a safari have all tested negative for Covid-19.
Addressing the media earlier tonight, official spokesperson for Covid-19 Mr. Mabrouk Azeez noted that these resorts include Cinnamon Hakura Huraa Maldives resort, Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives and JA Manafaru Maldives resort.
He also said samples taken from Mahaa Safari also tested negative for Covid-19.
Mr. Mabrouk confirmed that as per protocol temporary monitoring measure enacted on the islands and Safari have now been lifted.
Sixteen people have now tested positive for Covid-19 including a Maldivian national who came back from the UK. While 14 still remain in the country, two Italians who were tested positive for the virus on Friday, have departed the country earlier in the day.
