Health Protection Agency HPA have urged those who had contact with former Manchester United Ex-Midfielder Marouane Fellaini to come forward as the footballer was tested postitive for Covid-19.

Speaking to reporters about the Covid-19 updates tonight, President Office spokesperson Mr. Mabrouk Abdul Azeez said there will be several people who came in contact with the footballer, who holidayed in Maldives earlier this month, in the greater Male area and they should inform HPA through the hotline 1676.

The Belgian national came to Maldives on the 8th of this month having going back on the 12th of this March. While he tested positive for Covid-19 on the 20th of this month, Mr. Mabrouk said it is highly likely that he contracted the virus upon his arrival in China after leaving Maldives.

Mr. Mabrouk said while this was the case, HPA will be monitoring the situation and is amid carrying out contact tracing with a person deemed a close contact already placed in isolation.
