The wide customer base of Bank of Maldives (BML) can now register for the bank's Personal Internet Banking service wihout personally attending the bank's branches.

BML customers can download the application form for "Personal Internet Banking" from the bank's official website and forward a photo or a digitally filled copy of the form to [email protected] - as noted by the bank.

Initially, customers of the bank are required to physically attend to their branches with a physical copy of the application form requesting for internet banking services.

However, BML had brought several changes to its operational procedures in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, over which state institutions along with many other venues have temporarily closed down their premises; resuming work through online platforms.

The services rendered from the Personal Internet Banking, along with newly added tweaks, include:

Account Balance Details

  • Checking/Viewing Bank or Card Balances
  • Checking/Viewing Account Statement or Download

Transactions

  • Payment for presonal Credit Card and Personal Loans
  • Payment for Credit Cards or Personal Loans issued to other customers
  • Money Transfer
  • Money Transfer between customer's personal accounts
  • Money Transfer to other BML customer bank accounts
  • Money Transfer to non-BML/foreign bank accounts

Request for Services

  • Opening additional bank accounts
  • Applying for Debit/Credit Cards
  • Applying for BML "Lui Loan"
  • Updating Personal Information

Bank of Maldives (BML), have been introducing its products integrated into digital platforms to provide timely services, maximizing accessibility and ease for customers.

According to the bank, 90% of its general customer transactions are carried out digitally.
