The Maldives Parliament on Tuesday has announced seeking public opinion on the nominees by the island nation's President for the prospective members to Elections Commission.
Parliament's announcement on Tuesday read the list of nominees by President for the commission's membership have been forwarded to the committee on independent commission for reviewing.
The public has been requested to file any complaints or dissent on any of the nominees regarding any discrepancies either via email or by letter on or before 14:00hrs of Sunday, 08 March 2020.
The Elections Commission is currently facing a change in members since the current Deputy President Mr Ahmed Akram is closing to a conclusion on his term.
